         Конспект уроку у 7 класi з теми ''Spоrt''

Objectives: to develop and improve pupils’ skills for pronunciation,   

                         reading, speaking and listening;

                         to revise pupils’ vocabulary on the topic “Bigger, Stronger, Faster”;

                         to form pupils’ writing skills;

                         to develop pupils’ imagination, memory, attention;

                         to bring up speaking culture, the desire to go in for sport and to

                         study English language;

Visual Aids: cards with tasks, pictures with different kinds of sport, slides.

I. Preliminaries

1. Greeeting.

 - Good morning, dear children! I am glad to see you. I hope you are fine.

2. Aim.

 - Today we shall play the game “Star Hour”. Our topic is “Sport”.

 The  motto  of  our  lesson  is  “Bigger, stronger, faster”. (1 cлайд)

(В грі приймають участь всі учні. Виконуючи завдання різних турів, участники гри за правильні відповіді отримують зірочки. Переможцем гри являється той, хто набрав більше всіх очків – зірочок).

 - Do you remember  one of well known proverb “Health is above wealth”.  Who can translate it? (Pupils try to translate it).

3. Warming up.

    - Read the poem all together.

      (Читають вірш хором. У кожного на парті карточка з віршем).

                                             I like riding by bicycle,

I’m fond of playing chess,

My friend is good at judo-

We are keen on sport as you can guess.

And every kind of sport for sure

As it can even illness cure

And can for every girl and boy

 Bring many moments of joy.

The proverb reads for everybody:

“The sound mind in a sound body!”

        

II. The main part of the lesson.

Speaking

  Task 1

— Today we may say that physical training and sport have become a matter of national importance. Sport helps people to become stronger and healthy. Probably some of you like to participate in sports contests, other enjoy watching them.

  Task 2

  – Let’s repeat the words to the theme. Match the words in English and in Ukrainian. (3 слайд)

                    Roller-skating – катання на роликах

                    Skiing – катання на лижах

                    Swimming - плавання

                    Hiking – гірний туризм

                    Cycling - велоспорт

                    Skating – катання на ковзанах

                    Improve - покращувати

                    Keep fit – бути в хорошій формі

   Task 3

 – I want you to listen to my stories. I’ll describe different sports and games. You can see the numbers of the games on the board and you’ll use the cаrds with the numbers on your desks.

   (Учитель зачитує невеликі оповідання - опис різних видів спорту. Учень, прослухавши розповідь, піднімає табличку з номером - назвою виду спорту або спортивної гри. Якщо відповідь учня правильна, то він отримує зірочку). (4 cлайд)

·        A slow run for exercise. (jogging)

·        It is a game of two players. Each of them starts with sixteen different playing pieces to move on the board. The aim is to move your pieces so that your opponent’s king will be taken. (chess)

·        This game played on a court with a large orange ball. There are five players in each team. Two teams try to score goals by throwing a ball through a net fixed to a metal ring at each end of court. The players bounce the ball while running, and pass to each other. ·        The sport of fighting in gloves. (boxing)

·        It is a game played between two teams of eleven players. Players kick a ball around a field trying to score a goal. The team with the most points wins. This game is very popular in our country and all over the world. (football).

– Let’s work with vocabulary. People who go in for different sports have different names. Remember!!! How do we call people who:

                                     My favourite sportsman

Volodymyr is my favourite sportsman. He is a boxer. Volodymyr was born on March 25, 1976. He is 36. He was a good pupil and a good student. He graduated from the Perejaslav – Khmelnytskyi Pedagogical institute. Volodymyr began to go in for sports when  he was 14. He went to a sport school with his elder brother Vitaliy. Vitaliy Klychko is a famous Ukrainian boxer, too.    Volodymyr is an Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine. He is a champion of Olympic Games in Atlanta. He is a box champion of the world and Europe.  His hobby is playing the saxophone. He is very strong and clever. He is my favourite sportsman and I want to look like Volodymyr.

    Get up early and go to bed early;

    Do sport;

    Take regular exercises;

    Take a cold shower every day;

    Eat healthy food and never smoke;

    Wash the hands before you eat;

    Clean your teeth twice a day.
